“After being invited to perform in an event at The Dirt that was put on by some colleagues of mine, I was enthralled by the space. I was so taken by the atmosphere in the room that I decided to organize an event of my own at The Dirt (an evening of new works in music, theatre, and visual art). After visiting the dirtunderneath.com website and contacting Cynthia and John, I could tell that I was in very good hands. They were incredibly attentive and helpful, and quickly answered all of my questions as they came up. They even obliged my co-organizer and I when we asked to visit the space briefly in order to work out a few logistical concerns ahead of our event. The evening went incredibly well not only because of Cynthia and John’s help and the inherent beauty of the room, but also because of the excellent facilities within the space which we were allowed to access. Our event was such a success that my co-organizer and I have decided to make a series of similar events. The first place I’ll try to secure as a venue for our future instalments will be the Dirt. Thanks Cynthia and John.” -Matt James

“Despite its name The Dirt is very clean! 😉 It’s spacious, bright, centrally located, and very affordable, and its hands-off owners are a pleasure to deal with. Best of all is its authentic Old School vintage vibe since it’s housed in a hundred-year-old landmark historic TO building that was once a coffin factory. Character in spades!” Brains, Words & Voices.
